Shaldon has many places to wine dine, ODE an award winning wine restaurant, Clifford Arms Jazz Cafe, London Inn wholesome food, The Tide fish restaurant at the Ferry Boat Inn, Beach Coomber Italian Bistro and the Ness Hotel with its fine restaurant - all come highly recommended. Shaldon, a hidden treasure, has entertainment throughout the year. Water Carnival, Regatta, Music Festival,1785 day every Wednesday during summer. Bowling green, 18 hole pitch-n-put overlooking the Ness, Teignmouth golf course close by, nice walks and beaches. Idealy situated for both Newton Abbot and Exeter Race courses, which are only a short drive away. For visiting rugby supporters Exeter Chiefs home ground is just a short drive or train journey away.
